Google has a pretty fast, accurate search engine, rated #1 by PCWorld Magazine..
If Chemistry is troubling you, try Chemicalelements.com (which started as an 8th Grade Project!)
Mathforum.com has several levels, FAQ section, and an "Ask Dr. Math" feature.
Maybe you just need to look up a word (in 10 languages).  Try dictionary.com
AskJeeves.com is constructed so that you can simply type in your question and get answers.
If you want to limit the resources to only "G"-rated materials, go to Ask Jeeves for Kids .
Encyclopedia.com seems to have a free article on almost everything!
